Overview

A self-powered vacuum lifter built for daily glass & stone handling

The RMLO series is a battery-driven, walk-behind vacuum lifter for glass fabricators, stone yards, panel manufacturers, and installation crews moving heavy, fragile sheet material every day.

  • Runs on its own power — maintenance-free 24V battery pack; no air line, generator, or power cable required.
  • Industrial-grade core — Q355 manganese steel frame, Swiss Bucher hydraulics, American THOMAS vacuum pump with Panasonic digital gauge.
  • Scales with load — from RMLO30 to RMLO50, drive/lift motors, wheels, and pad count all step up to match capacity.
  • Full range of motion — 360° rotation, 90°+90° side turning, 150mm side-shift, boom reach to 3,700mm.

Why RMLO

Four reasons fabricators and glaziers choose the RMLO series

POWER

Self-Contained, No Hookups

No air compressor, no shop power outlet. A maintenance-free 24V battery pack runs the pump, lift, and drive systems anywhere on your floor or job site.

CONTROL

Full 360° Positioning

Manual 360° rotation plus 90°+90° side turning and a 150mm side-shift put the load exactly where it needs to go, even in tight bays.

BUILD

Industrial-Grade Components

Q355 manganese-steel frame, Swiss Bucher hydraulics, and Italian METALROTA wheels are specified for daily, multi-shift industrial duty — not light occasional use.

SAFETY

Engineered-In Redundancy

Emergency stop, emergency lowering system, cylinder holding valve, and AC battery protection guard every lift, with an optional dual vacuum backup circuit.

How It Works

From pickup to placement in three moves

  1. Position the pad frame

Walk the lifter into place and align the suction pads over the glass, stone, or panel surface.

  2. Engage the vacuum

Press Inhale to build vacuum to at least -54kPa. The Panasonic digital gauge confirms a safe hold before you lift a single kilogram.

  3. Lift, rotate & place

Raise the boom up to 3,700mm, rotate 360°, tilt, and side-shift 150mm to set the load exactly where it needs to be.

Operating Features

What's powered, what's manual

Powered (Automatic) Functions

  • Lateral side shift — 150mm total (75mm left + 75mm right)
  • Main boom lifting and lowering
  • Telescopic boom extend and retract
  • Pad frame turns upward toward the ceiling or downward to the ground

Manual Functions

  • Pad frame 360° rotation (electric rotation available as an option)
  • Pad frame 180° tilt (electric tilt available as an option)
  • 90° side turning, left and right
Every RMLO ships with a wireless dual-joystick remote and a Panasonic auto start/stop vacuum sensor — one operator runs the full lift-rotate-place cycle from a safe distance.

Vacuum Control & Safety

Pressure you can see, safety systems you can rely on

-54KPA MIN Minimum vacuum required before lifting. Adjustable from -12kPa to -71kPa (-1.7 to -10.3 psi) via the remote control, and monitored on the Panasonic digital gauge in real time.

Vacuum Control Panel

  • Vacuum system — dedicated on/off control for each circuit
  • Vacuum gauge — live kPa readout
  • Master power switch — pull to switch on, push to switch off
  • Inhale button — builds vacuum before lifting
  • Release button — releases pressure once the load is set down
  • Independent pad valves — reconfigure the pad layout for irregular loads
  • Optional dual vacuum system — live + standby circuit with pressure compensation for safety
Emergency Stop ButtonImmediately halts all lifter functions.
Emergency Lowering SystemBrings a suspended load down safely if power is lost.
AC Battery ProtectionGuards the battery system against overcharge and fault conditions.
Cylinder Holding ValveLocks the lift cylinder in place, preventing drift under load.

Applications

Built for glass, stone, panel & steel handling

  • Glass processing and tempering plants
  • Curtain wall and architectural glass installation
  • Stone slab handling — granite, marble, engineered stone
  • Metal and composite panel fabrication
  • Warehousing, loading docks, and raw-sheet transport

Maintenance & Support

Simple upkeep, longer service life

Every Lift

Check vacuum pads for contaminants or damage, and confirm the vacuum gauge reads at or below -54kPa before raising a load.

Every 20–40 Hours

Inspect the structure, vacuum system, controls, and air filters, and run a vacuum test to confirm the system holds pressure.

Every 250–400 Hours

Full electrical and structural inspection in line with local codes. Replace vacuum pads every 2 years, or sooner if sealing edges are cut, cracked, or glazed.

Never clean vacuum pads with harsh chemicals or rubber conditioners — both accelerate wear on the sealing edge.

FAQ

Common questions about the RMLO vacuum lifter

What load capacities are available in the RMLO 300–500kg range?

The range covers three models: the RMLO30 (300kg / 661lb), RMLO40 (400kg / 882lb), and RMLO50 (500kg / 1,102lb). All three share the same 3,700mm max lift height and 360° rotation; the RMLO50 steps up to a 1,500W drive motor and 2,200W lift motor to handle the heavier load.

Does the vacuum lifter need an air compressor or external power supply?

No. The RMLO series is fully self-contained. A maintenance-free 2×12V/100Ah battery pack powers the vacuum pump, lift motor, and drive system, so it doesn't need a shop air line, generator, or power cable.

What materials can this vacuum lifter handle?

Any smooth, non-porous, rigid surface — most commonly glass, stone (granite, marble, engineered stone), architectural panels, and steel sheet, provided the suction pads can form a proper seal.

What vacuum pressure does the lifter need to operate safely?

A minimum of -54kPa is required before lifting. Suction force is adjustable from -12kPa to -71kPa via the remote control, and the Panasonic digital gauge displays live pressure so you can confirm a safe hold before every lift.

Can the RMLO lifter operate on ramps or inclined surfaces?

Yes. The RMLO series is rated for a climbing gradient of up to 15%, making it suitable for loading docks, ramps, and moderately uneven floors.

What safety systems are built into the lifter?

Every RMLO ships with an emergency stop button, an emergency lowering system, a cylinder holding valve, and AC battery protection. An optional dual vacuum system adds a live backup circuit with pressure compensation in case of power loss mid-lift.

Which RMLO model is right for my job?

Match the model to your heaviest regular load with some margin: RMLO30 for loads up to 300kg, RMLO40 up to 400kg, RMLO50 up to 500kg. If you regularly handle 600–800kg pieces, see our RMLO60/RMLO80 series instead. Contact us with your material, sheet size, and site conditions and we'll recommend a configuration.

Ready to move your next 300–500kg load?

Tell us your material, sheet size, and site conditions — we'll recommend the right RMLO configuration for your operation.
